About Aislinn

I am stay at home mom to three gorgeous girls, Bella, Lily, and Gabby, and wife to a great and hardworking hubby.

Gabby was diagnosed with a skeletal dysplasia about 3 weeks before she was born. We learned after her birth that she has Achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism. We have learned so much through our connection with LPA and other Parents of Little People (POLP).

We try to use as many natural products, foods, and other items as possible, buying American and local whenever we can!

I am a huge advocate for breastfeeding, co-sleeping, and baby wearing and would love to become a Doula or lactation consultant when my babies are old enough for me to leave them…..I still have a while before that one happens!

You Gabby is just ridiculously adorable. I am having so much fun looking at pictures of her. I have a baby boy born this April 2013, so a year behind Gabby, and he has achondroplasia. He is seriously the cutest thing ever. And he looks almost exactly like your sweetie pie! I feel like the luckiest mom in the world. He is so special, and just owns the room wherever he is! He is my eighth baby, and you better believe, those older siblings got his back! I am sure there will be various struggles, but he is healthy as can be right now. Someone told me “You did such a good job accepting this.” I guess it never felt like anything I had to accept. So what, he’s short. Mostly, I think “How did I get to be one of the lucky moms to get such a sweet special baby boy.?” I have never seen a baby with achondroplasia other than mine, so I am having fun looking on different blogs and such online. It will be fun to meet people who get to take this same journey that we are!

    • Thank you so much! I’ve been so behind on my blog, but will be adding new photos soon! All of our children are blessings but yes, I am so amazed and honored that i was chosen to be Gabbys mom, she’s my little spitfire and doesn’t let anything stop her! 🙂 are you on Facebook? There are great groups there as well. Parents of Little People is a great group of parents from all across the country!

Hello, Gaby is a great kid – Beautiful! I have a son with this disease, and the similarity between Gaby and my Chrissy is striking. Please give me your Facebook to show you my beautiful child! I apologize for the expression, my English is very bad 🙂
